Season Three - Episode Descriptions

#1. Musky on a Fly
- We join Bill Spicer on the Trent River system to fly fish for big Musky. Bill will teach us tactics, pattern choices and equipment options. A great show for those wanting to catch these elusive fish on a fly.
 
#2. Trout River Tactics - The Grand River is a well-known blue ribbon river for big Brown Trout. In this episode Bill Spicer takes out to teach some basics of river fishing for trout. Great instructional show for all levels of fly fisher.

#3 Sault Saint Marie Pink Salmon - Pink Salmon are a unique species accidentally introduced into the Great Lakes several years ago. The species has now taken hold and now anglers can catch them in several locations. This show focuses on Sault Saint Marie which is on the border of the USA and Canada. Lots of information on nymphing techniques.

#4 Small Stream Fly Fishing - We travel to Montana to join Bob Jacklin to learn some techniques for angling on small streams for trout. Stealth, casting and presentation techniques covered in this great episode.

#5 Gallatin River – The Gallatin River near West Yellowstone, Montana is a gem of trout river. Bill Spicer joins the owner of Bud Lillys fly shop to learn more about how to read water, casting in windy conditions and how to work over riffle areas.

#6 Louisiana Fly Fishing - The coast off Louisiana is renowned for its incredible diversity of saltwater species. We join Jeff Pierce from Mustad to angle for species such as False Albacore, Jack Cravelle and learn about Saragossa Weed and why fish relate to this open ocean structure.

#7 Golden Trout - In the mountains of Montana there exists one of the true treasures of nature, Golden Trout. Bill Spicer rides horseback into the mountains to fly fish for these unique trout. Also covered in this episode, events from the Federation of Fly Fishers Conclave held in West Yellowstone.

#8 Streamers on the Madison
- Host Colin McKeown joins well-known guide Bob Jacklin to learn some great techniques for streamer fishing. Jack teaches Colin about line choices, presentation options and retrieves. A truly instructional show!

#9 Crooked Creek Smallmouth Smallmouth are one of the top game fish a fly fisher can angle for. Co-host Ian James travels to beautiful Arkansas to learn some techniques for fly fishing for smallmouth that are feeding on baitfish.

#10 Migratory Brown Trout
- Great Lakes tributary systems are well-known for providing excellent fishing for Steelhead and Pacific Salmon, but few target post-spawn Brown Trout. These fish are huge trophys and can be angled for using nymphs. In this fascinating show, we join David Anderson, former Minister of Fisheries & Oceans (man responsible for helping to bring salmon in the west and east) to learn how to fly fish for massive Brown Trout.

#11 Oil Rig Fly Fishing - The oil rigs off the Louisiana coast are home to some truly huge species such as Red Fish, Cobia, and Yellow Fin Tuna. Jeff Pierce teaches us about fly patterns, presentation options and how to fight these massive fish on fly rods. An incredibly fascinating show for saltwater anglers.

#12 Nymphing Strategies - Nymphing is truly one of the deadliest ways to catch big fish of literally any species. In this special instructional episode, we go into great detail to describe everything you need to know to become a much better nymph fly fisher. A must see episode for beginners to veteran anglers.

#13 White River Rainbows
- The White River is an incredible tailwater fishery that is known for producing huge trout. Co-host Ian James joins John Gulley to learn how to angle for big Rainbow Trout on this river.

#14. Flowers River Salmon - Host Colin McKeown travels to Labrador to fly fish for Atlantic Salmon. Flowers River lodge is located on one of the best rivers in North America to catch huge salmon. This episode is detailed with lots of information on patterns, presentation techniques and info on salmon lies.

#15 Advanced Streamer Techniques - One of our favourite ways to catch big fish is to use streamers. In this truly educational episode, we teach you why big trout feed on baitfish, ideal patterns to use and why, necessary, flyline options and retrieve techniques to help you vastly improve your streamer techniques. A must see episode!

#16. Missouri River Versatility
- Patrick Straub is a popular guide on the famous Missouri River. He takes host, Colin McKeown, down the river for a day of drift boat fly fishing. Along the way he teaches us about why anglers need to be versatile in their rigging options, pattern choices and presentation techniques. A great educational episode that will help you learn a variety of techniques.

#17. Wading the Norfolk
- John Wilson, Captain of the US Fly Fishing Team and well-known guide, takes co-host Ian James on the Norkolk River in Arkansas. John teaches Ian about some standard nymphing techniques while they catch Rainbow Trout and Cutthroat.

#18. Strike Indicator Techniques - This special episode goes into great detail to teach you how and when to use strike indicators. These useful tools will help improve your catch ratio and also ensure your presentations are correct. A great show for all levels of angler.

#19. Stillwater Techniques One (with Brian Chan) - Stillwater guru and co-host Brian Chan takes us to lakes in the Kamloops region of British Columbia to teach us basic to advanced skills in Stillwater fly fishing. A must-see show for all anglers who want to improve their techniques for fishing on lakes. Part one of a two part series.

#21. Hooked on a Cure - Each year the people who help raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital hold a major fly fishing event called “Hooked on a Cure”. In this special episode of this series, we join noted anglers such as Mel Kreiger, Dave Whitlock and Tom Rosenbauer to learn fly fishing techniques during this important fund raiser.

#22.Red Fish Fly Fishing - The grassy flats along the coast of Louisiana are well known for harbouring some incredible Red Fish. Co-host Jeff Pierce takes us out in a flat boat to cast for big Red Fish and teach us how to do it. A great saltwater primer for anybody wanting to angle for these great fish.

#23. Winter Steelheading – Many anglers put away their fly fishing gear during the winter. If you live near the Great Lakes, that is a major mistake. In this special show host Colin McKeown joins Jeff Blood (Frog Hair) and Patrick Keller (Orvis) to teach us how to fly fish for winter Steelhead. From presentation techniques to information on dressing properly for winter, this episode will teach you how to catch magnificent Steelhead.


#24. World Record Fly Fishing – Co-host Jeff Pierce joins Susan Gros to fly fish near oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. While teaching us presentation techniques and rigging options, they hook into and land a new world record saltwater fish. You have to watch to find out more about this record catch!

#25. Understanding Fly Rods - Fly rods are incredible marvels of modern technology. Thanks to designers and new materials, there are rods to use for seemingly every species and condition out there. In this special episode, we travel to several famous rod manufacturers to learn how rods are designed and constructed. We also join Jerry Seim from Sage to catch Chum Salmon near Seattle.

#26. Advanced Pike Tactics – In this very detailed episode we look at all the advanced techniques fly fishers need to know to angle for Northern Pike.
